Unfolding Campus Stories
We worked with Case Western Reserve University to develop an interactive experience for their new 82,000 square foot student center.
Overview
The student center features a sixteen-foot interactive digital wall, with microtiles, touch overlay, and a Kinect depth camera. Through interaction, students, faculty, and visitors can learn about the culture of CWRU.

The Details
The wall features a custom content-driven database that displays campus events, alumni profiles, and proud achievements from the CWRU community. Each content type is color coded and represented by animated 3D particles that float from the background to the foreground. Once a particle is in the foreground, visitors may select it to learn more about that topic and related content. A Microsoft Kinect tracks user motion, allow visitors to move particles with their own gestures without even touching the surface of the screen.
